Man With Dementia Still Missing 1 Week Later: Manatee County Sheriff
One week later, a 79-year-old man with dementia remains missing in the Bradenton area, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office said.

BRADENTON, FL — After nearly one week, Fredrick Bacon, 79, remains missing, and deputies continue to seek any information about where he may have gone, according to a Manatee County Sheriff's Office news release.
Extensive searches around Manatee County have produced no leads, the agency said.
Bacon was last seen the night of May 17 walking away from the home where he had been staying in the 4900 block of 32nd Street East in Bradenton.

He has dementia and often gets disoriented, the sheriff's office said. He stands 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs about 125 pounds.
He was wearing a purple sweatshirt, dark blue slacks and black leather dress shoes. He was also carrying a black toiletry bag.

According to family and friends, Bacon did not have money, a phone or other trackable devices on him when he walked away from the home, MCSO said.
