Man Shot Dead In Vehicle North Of Airport

MANATEE COUNTY, FL – A man was found dead in a vehicle, and a suspect is in custody after deputies responded this afternoon to a report of shots fired north of the Sarasota–Bradenton International Airport, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies, called at approximately 1:40 p.m. to the gunfire report on the 7400 block of North Tamiami Trail in south Manatee County, discovered the male deceased in a vehicle at a business parking lot.

Witnesses described a suspect, and after an area search, deputies took the suspect into custody, the department said.
