Bradenton Marauders Host Third Youth Summer Camp.
Marauders players and coaches host a training camp at Pirate City for children from the ages of 6 to 14.
The boys of summer spent a few summer days with nearly 90 Bradenton baseball players giving out training and coaching tips.
The Bradenton Marauders hosted their third annual baseball summer camp over the weekend for local children at Pirate City. The three day camp involved professional players and coaches offering training tips and fundamentals to youngsters who simply love the game.Β
The campers began thier days meeting in the cafeteria for an opening pep talk from Carlos Garcia, who was an all-star infielder for the Pirates. The talks mainly focused on offense, defense and pitching.

After the talks the campers were divided into groups and the players stepped up to help reinforce the day's lesson with patience and professionalism and understanding. Everyone seemed to enjoy the opportunity to show their biggest fans a thing or two.
Each of the campers got tickets to three home games and a t-shirt. For attending the camp, participants were awarded a certificate of completion after Saturday's game, a double header.Β
