Sarasota Double-Murder Suspect Arrested: Sheriff
A man was charged with two murder counts and one animal cruelty count in a fatal shooting in a Sarasota neighborhood, deputies said.

SARASOTA, FL — A Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office investigation into a fatal shooting at a Sarasota home on Saturday morning has led to the arrest of a 33-year-old man.
Detectives charged Nicholas Novickis with two counts of second-degree murder and one count of animal cruelty, SCSO said.
The charges are tied to a shooting that happened around 11:20 a.m. at a home in the 4700 block of Mondrian Court, in the Artistry neighborhood, deputies said.

The sheriff’s office didn’t identify those who were killed or provide any other information about the shooting.
The motive is unknown, investigators said.
