‘Master Escape Artist’ St. Bernard Has New Bradenton Adventure: Police
A dog who wandered into a Dollar General in Bradenton in June escaped from his yard to have another adventure this weekend, police said.

BRADENTON, FL — Months after rescuing a four-legged customer who escaped from his yard and wandered into a Dollar General, Bradenton police assisted with the “master escape artist” again this weekend after he went on yet another adventure.
Bentley, a 135-pound St. Bernard, was “up to his old tricks” went he got loose and “was taken into custody for trespassing in his neighbor’s yard,” Bradenton police shared Sunday morning on Facebook.
The pooch had a good reason for wandering away from his home, police said — “it was his birthday, and he was celebrating with a walkabout.”

In June, Bentley wandered into the Dollar General at 2923 Manatee Ave. W. just before closing one night and “pawsitively refused to leave,” police wrote in a social media post at the time.
Because he’s microchipped, officers were able to find his family and bring him home.
