MANATEE COUNTY, FL — A 33-year-old Palmetto woman won the top $1 million prize from the $1,000,000 MONEY TREE scratch-off game, Florida Lottery said in a news release.

Baneza Brown chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $880,000 at Florida Lottery’s headquarters in Tallahassee. She plans to use her prize to purchase a new home.

“I’m so excited to move into a place with more space for me and my family,” she told Florida Lottery.

Brown purchased her winning ticket from 7-Eleven at 2011 Cortez Road W in Bradenton. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

$1,000,000, a $5 game, launched in October. It features more than $50 million in case prizes, including 160 prizes ranging from $10,000 to $1 million. The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-4.
