Motorcyclist Dies After Manatee Ave. Crash: Bradenton Police
A motorcyclist died Saturday morning after being hit by a vehicle making a U-turn on Manatee Avenue W., Bradenton police said.
BRADENTON, FL — A motorcyclist died after a Saturday morning crash on Manatee Avenue W., according to a Bradenton Police Department news release.
The motorcyclist was traveling west approaching 47th Street W. around 9:30 a.m. when they were hit by a vehicle making a U-turn onto Manatee Avenue, police said.
The victim was thrown from the motorcycle during the crash into oncoming eastbound traffic, according to BPD.

The motorcyclist was hit by a car and died at the scene. Their name is being withheld until the family is notified of their death.
The drivers of both vehicles remained at the scene, police said. All lanes were closed until just after 2 p.m. on Saturday.

While police continue to investigate the crash, “at this time nothing indicates criminal charges will be pursued,” the agency said.
