Motorcyclist Dies After U.S. 41 Crash In Manatee County: FHP

A motorcyclist was hit by an SUV that was turning from U.S. 41 onto 33rd Avenue E., the Florida Highway Patrol said.

MANATEE COUNTY, FL — A motorcyclist died after being hit by an SUV on U.S. 41 in Manatee County on Saturday afternoon, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.

As the motorcyclist, a 32-year-old Bradenton man, approached the intersection of 33rd Avenue E. around 1 p.m., the SUV hit him while making a left turn onto the road, FHP said.

This caused the motorcycle to overturn and hit a fence, the agency said.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by Manatee County EMS.

The SUV’s driver, a 68-year-old Bradenton man, suffered minor injuries in the crash, FHP said.
