Music and Theatre Scholarship Auditions Set for April 22 at SCF, Manatee-Sarasota

Budding musicians and thespians who want to study their craft are invited to audition for SCF music and theatre scholarships on April 22.

Budding musicians and thespians interested in studying their craft at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) are invited to audition for music and theatre scholarships on April 22 in SCF’s Neel Performing Arts Center, 5840 26th St. W.

Music scholarships are available for Concert Choir, Chamber Choir, Symphony Orchestra, Guitar Ensemble, Jazz Combo, Jazz Ensemble and Musical Theatre Ensemble. Theatre scholarships are available for acting and technical theatre. Full tuition waiver scholarships in the amount of $5,000 are available for students who are chosen for the Presidential String Quartet, Presidential Jazz Quartet, Presidential Vocal Ensemble or Presidential Pianist.

Auditions, which begin at 9 a.m., are by appointment and can be scheduled by calling April Sheely at 941-752-5351 or emailing sheelya@SCF.edu.
