Online Private Pilot Ground School Offered Through SCF

State College of Florida, Sarasota-Manatee (SCF) is offering an online Private Pilot Ground School in affiliation with FLY8MA Flight Training. The online course allows students to skip through or revisit lessons as needed.

The Private Pilot Ground School is the first step in obtaining a private pilot certificate. Ground school offers the aeronautical knowledge a private pilot must have, including aerodynamics, how the systems of a plane work, weather conditions to avoid, FAA regulations, principles of navigation and stall/spin awareness, and incident and accident reporting requirements. This course will cover the basic knowledge required to pass the private pilot written exam.

Students who successfully complete the ground school and exam should be prepared for aircraft flight training.
