Palmetto Woman Killed In Charlotte County ATV Crash: FHP

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, FL — A 28-year-old Palmetto woman died in a single-vehicle all-terrain vehicle crash early Saturday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.

Troopers said the woman was driving north on a private dirt road at 44570 Bermont Road, north of Bermont Road, when she lost control just before 1 a.m.

When the ATV rotated and overturned, the driver was ejected. She died at the scene and the investigation is ongoing, FHP said.
