Pedestrian Hit, Killed By SUV In Bradenton Monday Night: FHP
An SUV hit and killed a 26-year-old Sarasota man crossing US Highway 301 in Bradenton, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
BRADENTON, FL — A pedestrian was hit and killed by an SUV while crossing US Highway 301 in Bradenton Monday night, the Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.
The SUV, driven by an 83-year-old Bradenton man, was traveling in the left lane of US 301 and approaching the intersection of 44th Avenue East when it hit a 26-year-old Sarasota man crossing the highway around 8:35 p.m., FHP said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. The SUV’s driver and his passenger, an 82-year-old Bradenton woman, were uninjured in the crash.

The investigation is ongoing to determine if an unknown second vehicle also hit the pedestrian, FHP said.
