Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Hit-And-Run
Troopers are asking witnesses to come forward.

A 41-year-old Bradenton man is in serious condition following a Sunday evening hit-and-run crash along 5th Street West and 51st Avenue West.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Joseph Lima was walking north on the east sidewalk of 5th Street West around 8:45 p.m. when he crossed at the marked crosswalk at 51st Avenue West.

As Lima was crossing, a vehicle struck him and then took off.
Troopers say the vehicle involved may be a sports car from the 1980s or 1990s that is white or grey in color. The car had a sloped front end.

Lima was taken to Manatee Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the highway patrol at 941-751-7647.
