On Personal Trainer Awareness Day Consider Certification

Jan. 2 has been designated as National Personal Trainer Awareness Day to celebrate the busiest time of year for certified personal trainers.

One of the most common New Year’s resolutions is to get into better shape. In recognition of those best intentions, Jan. 2 has been designated as National Personal Trainer Awareness Day to celebrate the busiest time of year for certified personal trainers. State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) offers personal trainer certification courses.

If you have a passion for helping people reach their goals, a personal training profession may be just the right fit. The next course will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays, March 30 through May 18 at SCF Lakewood Ranch, 7131 Professional Parkway E.

The fee for the course and certification exams, offered in partnership with World Instructor Training Schools (W.I.T.S.), is $749, not including the required textbook. Participants can expect hands-on practical labs and access to a national pool of employment opportunities upon completion. Program internships also are available. A free live informational session on the program will be held March 16 at 10 a.m. at SCF Lakewood Ranch, 7131 Professional Parkway E.
