YESTERDAY AT CAMP (FEB. 22):
- Pirates manager Clint Hurdle announced the following pitchers would throw in Friday's seven-inning exhibition game against the State College of Florida at McKechnie Field: Aaron Thompson, Tyler Yates, Jeff Locke, Mike Crotta, Justin Wilson, Kyle McPherson and Rudy Owens.
- Pedro Alvarez was back on the field for limited action Tuesday after missing Monday’s workout with neck spasms.
- The pitchers who did not throw off a mound Tuesday took part in the daily active warm-up before participating in bunting and fielding drills.
- All pitchers participated in the daily team drill (first base and third base defense).
- The non-BP pitchers conditioned and were off the fields by 12:15 p.m.
- The pitchers who threw off the mounds to hitters were off the fields by 1:15 p.m.
- All position players took BP after going through all the daily drills, ran the bases as a conditioning exercise and were off the fields by 1:45 p.m.
TODAY AT CAMP (FEB. 23):
Players generally hit the field between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. daily during workouts. Practices are free and open to the publc. Schedules are subject to change.
