RAYS 9, PIRATES 5:
After not allowing more than one earned run in a game all spring, Charlie Morton was roughed up for five of them in five innings as the Pittsburgh Pirates lost to the Tampa Bay Rays 9-5 on Friday in Port Charlotte.
Joel Hanrahan (0-2) took the loss, surrendering a two-run single to Justin Ruggiano in his only inning of work.

Josh Rodriguez knocked in two runs and now has four RBIs in his past two games for the Pirates (10-18).
Ruggiano also tripled for the Rays (14-12-1) and finished with three RBIs to help back winning pitcher Jeff Niemann.

UP NEXT (MARCH 26):
The Pirates travel to Tampa to take on the New York Yankees at 1:05 p.m. Saturday. Kevin Correia is expected to start against New York left-hander Manny Banuelos. Jose Veras and Chris Leroux are also scheduled to appear for Pittsburgh.
James McDonald will also pitch against the Yankees' Triple-A team Saturday in Tampa.
