PIRATES 5, TWINS 2:
Starter Brian Burres pitched two perfect innings, and the Pittsburgh Pirates earned a 5-2 victory over the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday in Fort Myers.
Burres has now worked six scoreless innings in three appearances (one start) this spring.

Lyle Overbay hit his second home run of the spring for the Pirates (6-6) and has now hit safely in four straight games and six of eight this spring. Andy Marte added a solo home run for Pittsburgh.

The Pirates play the Yankees in Tampa at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday. Kevin Correia is expected to start for Pittsburgh against New York’s Bartolo Colon. Aaron Thompson, Tony Watson and Justin Thomas are also scheduled to pitch for the Pirates.
