Pitbull Toddler Returns to Bradenton Friday Night

The Cowhead radio rockers are tearing up Tequila Beach, there are a few grand openings, Thirsty Thursday – it's a busy weekend in Bradenton!

You’ll have to be creative with the scheduling this weekend in Bradenton, because there is no shortage of good times. Not only are the hometown Marauders at McKechnie Field through Monday, but Pitbull Toddler brings its face-melting music to Tequila Beach Sport Grille. In addition to all that, a bar, magazine and billiards parlor celebrate special nights in their new digs.

Here are the details:

  • A few bucks can go a long way at , 1611 9th St. W., on a “Thirsty” Thursday night. Small draft beers cost $1 and larger beers and margaritas are 2-for-1 throughout the game. The hometown Bradenton Marauders, class A-Advanced affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, take on the Fort Myers Miracle, farm team of the Minnesota Twins, at 7 p.m. Gates open at 6 p.m. To get tickets, visit the ballpark box office or click here.
  • , 4828 14th St. W., is hosting a party all day Friday to celebrate their grand opening in their new location. Get a table for half price from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Give aways include Hooters gift cards and merchandise, a free night of pool and more. No cover.
  • Blues Revue, one of the most popular magazines of the blues genre, is hosting an open house from 6p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday in its new location at 1001 11th Avenue West (the Village Veranda) in Bradenton’s Village of the Arts. The open house will feature live music and refreshments, including “adult” refreshments. Friday night and Saturday afternoon are also the Village’s monthly . No cover.
  • Pitbull Toddler, the hard-rock heavy metal band born out of the popular Cowhead radio show on 102.5 FM The Bone, returns to Bradenton’s , 7423 Manatee Ave. W., on Friday night with its brand of heavy-hitting, energetic music that promises to melt your face off – with a blow torch this time. The band is expected to take the stage sometime between 10:30p.m. and 11 p.m. This is Pitbull Toddler’s third time at Tequila Beach (Patch.com ) and second with new lead singer Josh Maloney.   • , 5606 14th St. W., celebrates its grand opening on its one-year anniversary all day and night Saturday. They’re calling this grand opening one of the biggest parking lot parties Bradenton has ever seen! Live music from several bands from noon until 2 a.m., a car show, a free kids zone and $2 drafts all day along with a visit from the Budweiser truck. No cover.
