PTA Program Director at SCF on National Task Force
Matthew Connell, the director of the Physical Therapy Assistant program at SCF, was on a task force reviewing the Physical Therapy Exam.

Matthew Connell, the director of the Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) program at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF), was one of 18 members of a task force charged with reviewing the National Physical Therapy Exam for PTAs.
The Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT) creates, administers and scores the national exam. All physical therapists and physical therapy assistants must pass the exam to be licensed. The FSBPT task force, made up of physical therapists and physical therapy assistants, reassesses the exam every
five years to evaluate whether it needs to be updated to cover any new content, practice or educational trends to ensure that everyone who passes the exam is qualified to be licensed.
The task force is made up of professionals who represent all areas of practice. Their recommendations will go into effect in January.
