Ditto with Billy Rice Band’s performance at the local Elks Lodge and reservations to the Polynesian Luau at Tarpon Pointe Grill & Tiki Bar, 801 Riverside Dr. E.

- Satisfy that beer-soaked appetite with everyone’s favorite bar food - chicken wings, of course - at Firkins & Fox Restaurant & Pub, 2505 Manatee Ave. E. Every Tuesday and Thursday from 2 p.m. until close (11 p.m.) enjoy all-you-can-eat wings for $9.95 per person. The Fox offers five flavors: hot, barbeque, Cajun, teriyaki and bourbon chipotle. Wash them down with $1.99 select drafts during happy hour from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. The happy hour prices on beer are good Monday through Friday.
- Tickets for country music star Colt Ford’s concert this Friday night at Joyland are $20 each and on sale now at Joyland (call 941-756-6060), Joyland Feed Co., 5506 14th St. W., or online here. Check out the other concerts Joyland has lined up this year at joylandcountry.com.
- Reminisce, or at least try to, about those long forgotten college days at Bryan Pub Works, 5942 34th St. W., every Friday from 8 p.m. until 1 a.m. with $5 pitchers of select beers. Enjoy the latest club music and rounds of pool. No college ID required. (FYI: Bryan Pub Works usually closes at 10 p.m. but will stay open as late as 1 a.m. on College Night.)
- More awesome live music in Bradenton this weekend and tickets are scarce for this one, too. The Billy Rice Band is performing from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday night at the local Florida Elks Lodge 1511, 2511 75th St. W. This event is open to the public and proceeds benefit the Elks Lodge’s various charities. At last check it was down to standing room only. Reserve tickets for $10 by calling 941-792-1511. They’re $15 at the door – if available.
- Tarpon Pointe Grill & Tiki Bar is hosting an authentic Polynesian Luau at 6 p.m. Saturday featuring professional hula dancers, fire knife dancers, live music and interactive hula dance instructions. Gourmet dining includes pineapple and coconut-skewered shrimp, Lomi Lomi salmon, Mahi Mahi, spit-roasted Kahlua pig, sweet potatoes and Kuna rice and decadent pineapple upside down cake for dessert. Tickets are $25 per adult and $10 for children 5-12. Children under 5 are admitted for free.
