Sarasota Man Sought In 2018 Cold Case Murder In Bradenton: Sheriff

Detectives are seeking a 22-year-old Sarasota man in the 2018 cold case murder of Michael Angelo Jacoby Grantley in Bradenton, MCSO said.

MANATEE COUNTY, FL — Detectives are looking for a Sarasota man so they can interview him about the 2018 homicide of Michael Angelo Jacoby Grantley in Bradenton, the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

The 41-year-old’s body was found in the 3500 block of 26th Ave. E. An autopsy showed that he died from a fatal gunshot wound.

Investigators are interesting in speaking with Lee Lashay Martin, 22, to see what he might know about Grantley’s death, the sheriff’s office said.

Before his death, Grantley was in the Wawa convenience store at 3703 N. Washington Blvd. in Sarasota. In 2020, detectives sought the man who appeared with him surveillance video footage from the store.

The sheriff’s office stressed that they already found and spoke with that man, who is not Martin.
