Sarasota Motorcyclist Killed In Bradenton Crash With SUV: FL Troopers
A Sarasota man died after being thrown from his motorcycle in a Bradenton crash with an SUV, FL troopers said.
BRADENTON, FL — A Sarasota motorcyclist was killed in a Saturday afternoon crash with an SUV at a Bradenton intersection, the Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.
A Ford Explorer was heading north on 5th Street East, approaching the stop sign at 301 Boulevard East, around 1:30 p.m.
At the same time, a 63-year-old man on a Honda Silver Wing motorcycle was traveling west on 301 Boulevard East, heading toward the 5th Street East intersection.

As the SUV tried to cross 301 Boulevard East, it drove into the motorcyclist’s path, FHP said. The motorcycle hit the SUV’s right side.
The rider was thrown from the motorcycle as it overturned onto its right side.

The motorcyclist was brought to an area with critical injuries and was later pronounced dead.
The SUV’s driver, a 37-year-old Bradenton woman, was uninjured in the crash.
Her passenger, a 47-year-old Bradenton woman, suffered a minor injury, FHP said.
