SCF Club Hands Out Pocket Constitutions for Constitution Day

The History and Political Science Club at SCF gave away pocket U.S. Constitutions in English and Spanish at SCF Venice on Sept. 17.

The History and Political Science Club at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) gave away pocket U.S. Constitutions in English and Spanish at SCF Venice on Monday, Sept. 17, in honor of National Constitution Day.

Commemorating the formation and signing of the U.S. Constitution on Sept. 17, 1787, Constitution Day recognizes all who, by birth in the United States or by naturalization, have become citizens. Constitution Day became an official holiday in conjunction with Citizenship Day in 2004.

The History and Political Science Club at SCF promotes the study of history and political science to foster a deeper understanding of past and present social and political ideologies.
