State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) will offer a review course to help tax preparers pass the Enrolled Agent exam. The EA Review course, which registrants may attend online or in-person at SCF Lakewood Ranch, 7131 Professional Pkwy. E., Sarasota, costs $1,100 and includes course materials. The exam fee is not included.

Enrolled agent status is the highest credential the IRS awards tax preparers. Enrolled agents, like attorneys and certified public accountants (CPAs), have broad practice rights. The class is designed to help students pass a rigorous three-part exam covering the required aspects of taxation to earn the designation.

The course is organized into three sections that correlate with the exam. Classes are held on Tuesdays from 6-9 p.m. An online orientation will be held Aug. 18.
