SCF Employees Raise Awareness of Heart Disease

SCF employees spent a weekend in December raising awareness for heart disease and stroke at SCF Venice.

State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) employees spent a weekend in December raising awareness for heart disease and stroke at SCF Venice.

SCF employees raised more than $3,500 for the American Heart Association Walk in September which was cancelled because of Hurricane Irma, still they were undeterred in raising awareness, so rescheduled their own “Heart Walk” for Dec. 2.

SCF values such community events and understands that they are integral to wellness at the college. The December walk received support from Ryan Hale, Venice dean, Daysi Delgado, admissions and educational records Teresa Przetocki, SCF’s wellness coordinator, and Jennifer LaHurd, director of human resources.
