SCF, Manatee-Sarasota Nursing Faculty Member Earns National Certification

Diane Taylor, a nursing faculty member at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF), has earned her national certification as a Maternal Newborn Nurse from the National Certification Corporation (NCC). The credential is achieved by meeting educational and practice requirements and passing a rigorous exam that covers the specialty.
NCC is a not-for-profit organization that sponsors a national certification program in obstetric, gynecologic and neonatal specialties. To maintain the certification, Taylor must earn continuing education credits and provide a competency assessment every three years.
