SCF, Manatee-Sarasota Tennis Team Nationally Ranked No. 2

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) and Oracle have ranked State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota’s (SCF) Manatees tennis team second in the nation for Fall 2016. These are the final rankings before the start of the Spring tennis season.

Returning player Maria Medina garnered the top ranking in singles after her championship at the ITA JUCO Singles tournament. Teammate Iulia Sergheeva was ranked 16th among the top singles players. Medina and Sergheeva, doubles partners, won the doubles title at the ITA Oracle Cup and are the top ranked doubles team.

Their SCF teammates Rhoda Tanui and Mialiniaina Rakontondrazafy are ranked 23 and 31 respectively among singles players. Rakontondrazafy and Alana Sherman are ranked 12th among doubles partners.
