SCF Offers Year-Round Basic Motorcycle Safety Classes
SCF is offering the Florida Motorcycle Safety Foundation a 15-hour endorsement course in basic rider safety class every other weekend.

State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) is offering the Florida Motorcycle Safety Foundation basic rider safety class every other weekend. The 15-hour endorsement course is required to operate a motorcycle in Florida. Classes are 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W. and SCF Venice, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail. The fee is $185 per rider.
The basic rider safety class teaches riding and turning skills, obstacle avoidance maneuvers, effective braking techniques and safe street-riding strategies. Motorcycles and helmets are provided. Classes are taught by nationally certified Motorcycle Safety Foundation rider coaches.
Upon successful completion, students can use their endorsement card to obtain a motorcycle license or get a motorcycle endorsement on the license you hold.
