SCF Venice to Host Reggie Scott Young for Reading

SCF Venice will host author Reggie Scott Young as he reads from his newest work of fiction "The Mojo Bone" at 1 p.m. March 14.

State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) will host author Reggie Scott Young as he reads from his newest work of fiction “The Mojo Bone.” The reading will be held at 1 p.m. March 14 in Building 800, Selby Room at SCF Venice, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail. It is free and open to the public.

Young has served as professor of creative writing and American literature at the University of Louisiana, Lafayette and has held faculty positions at Villanova University and Wheaton College. His poems, stories and non-fiction work have appeared in a variety of publications including “Oxford American,” “Louisiana Literature” and “African American Review.” His poetry collection includes “Yardbirds Squawking at the Moon.”

Young will sign copies of his books which will be available for purchase at the event.
