SCF Venice Students Help Inspire Change

The Student Government Association at SCF Venice partnered with student clubs and organizations to provide service for a local nonprofit.

The Student Government Association (SGA) for the Venice campus of State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) partnered with student clubs and organizations to provide service and raise money for Reins Inspiring Change Equine Therapy, a nonprofit that primarily serves disabled veterans and children with special needs.

The SGA raised $200 for the charity during the Fall Festival on the Venice campus in November. Venice Students and staff also have visited the North Port therapeutic riding program to help with cleanup and rebuilding after Hurricane Irma.
