LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL — The second Trader Joe’s in the Sarasota-Manatee area celebrates its grand opening Thursday, according to the California-based grocery chain’s website.

The Lakewood Ranch location at 8111 Cooper Creek Blvd. in Bradenton is in the University Town Center area.

The first Trader Joe’s in the region is located at 4101 S. Tamiami Trail in Sarasota.

The new 12,000-square-foot grocery store, which was announced earlier this year, will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The brand, known for low prices, offers “unique and interesting products, along with everyday basics, in the Trader Joe’s label,” the company said.

Like other stores across the country, the Lakewood Ranch location “is embracing the rich and comforting tastes of autumn,” Trader Joe’s said. “Our shelves are packed with unique products that capture the spirit of the season — like warming beverages, crisp apples and indulgent maple-forward treats.”

The store is also still hiring crew members with a starting pay rate ranging from $16 to $18 per hour and offers workers up to 38 hours each week.
