SUV Driver Killed In Collision With Truck In Myakka City: FHP
A 33-year-old man was killed in a head-on crash on State Road 64 near County Road 675, Florida Highway Patrol said.
MYAKKA CITY, FL— A 33-year-old man was killed in a head-on collision in Myakka City early Monday, Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.
At the time of the crash, the driver of an SUV was traveling south on County Road 675, just north of State Road 64.
Around 4:45 a.m., the Myakka City man crossed the centerline at a left-hand curve in the road and hit a medium duty truck that was traveling north on CR 675 head on, FHP said.

The SUV driver, a Myakka City man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The truck driver, a 28-year-old Bradenton man, and his passenger, a 39-year-old Myakka City man, suffered minor injuries in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation, FHP said.
