Teen Intentionally Drove Into Victim: Bradenton Police

A 17-year-old intentionally drove into a pedestrian on Palma Sola Causeway, faces numerous charges, Bradenton police said.

BRADENTON, FL — A 17-year-old was arrested and charged in connection with a Tuesday evening hit-and-run crash on Palma Sola Causeway, according to a Bradenton Police Department news release.

The teen intentionally drove into the victim, a 35-year-old man, after an argument, police said.

After arguing with the victim just after 5 p.m. in the 8400 block of Manatee Avenue, he drove away and then turned around to hit the man.

The boy drove away again after hitting the man, police said. He then got out of his vehicle and ran away from the scene.

He was found Tuesday night and charged with attempted murder, hit-and-run with serious bodily injury, reckless driver with serious bodily injury and having no valid driver’s license with serious bodily injury.

The victim is in critical but stable condition.
