MANATEE COUNTY, FL — Detectives are looking for a suspect in three Palmetto Estates vehicle burglaries, Manatee County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

The latest burglary took place overnight Tuesday in the 2200 block of 15th Avenue East. Around 1 a.m., the suspect was caught on a victim’s home surveillance equipment, the sheriff’s office said.

The footage shows a heavy-set teenage boy opening the unlocked driver’s side door of a truck and removing property from the vehicle.

A light-colored vehicle is seen following the suspect in the video. Detectives believe the vehicle working with him is a midsize silver or light-colored sedan with chrome wheels, possibly a 2010-2012 Chevrolet Malibu.

The suspect has short, black hair and is believed to be anywhere from 12 to 16 years old, the sheriff’s office said. Detectives think he is also responsible for two previous Palmetto Estates vehicle burglaries that happened in September.
