Tesla Driver Dies In I-75 Crash In Manatee County: Sheriff
A Tesla driver lost control of his car, which hit a tree and caught fire on I-75 early Saturday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

MANATEE COUNTY, FL — A Tesla driver was killed after losing control of his car on Interstate 75 early Saturday morning, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
Just before 3 a.m., the unidentified driver was heading south on I-75, just north of University Parkway, when he lost control, veering onto the shoulder and into a ditch, the agency said.
The car hit a tree and became engulfed in flames, FHP added.

The driver wasn’t able to get out of his car while it was on fire and was pronounced dead at the scene my Manatee County EMS.
