Here are some closures and schedule changes for Manatee County government offices, facilities and services over the holiday weekend.
MANATEE COUNTY, FL — With Bradenton area residents celebrating Thanksgiving on Thursday, here are some closures and schedule changes affecting government offices, facilities and services over the holiday weekend.
Manatee County government offices: All offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.
Garbage and recycling: There will be no trash or recycling pick-up on Thursday. Thursday’s schedule will move to Friday, and Friday’s collections will move to Saturday. The regular schedule resumes Monday.

Manatee County Area Transit: The MCAT fixed route and Handy Bus services will not be available on Thursday but will resume on Friday. The Anna Maria Trolley will operate on Thanksgiving.
Manatee County Public Schools: Schools closed Monday for the holiday week and will remain closed through Friday.

Manatee County Preserves and Beaches: Open on Thanksgiving.
Manatee County Golf Course: Closes at noon on Thursday.
Buffalo Creek Golf Course: Closes at noon on Thursday.
G.T. Bray Recreation Center: Closed on Thursday and reopens from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday.
Manatee County Public Libraries: Closed Thursday through Sunday.
Bradenton City Hall: Closed Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. through Friday.
Other city of Bradenton government offices: Closed Thursday and Friday.
City of Bradenton trash collection: Thursday’s schedule for household garbage, yard waste and recycling will move to Friday. Friday’s collection will take place on Saturday. The regular schedule resumes Monday.
