Welcome Home! Time For Florida Open House Weekend
Bradenton home sellers to greet home buyers as part of statewide open house event.

To offer home buyers a convenient way of touring dozens of homes for sale all in one weekend, Manatee County Realtors and their clients will be hosting open houses as part of the second annual Florida Open House Weekend, March 26-27.
Sponsored by the 115,000-member Florida Realtors, it’s the largest open house weekend event in the nation.
This weekend event will delight the home buyer by offering the time-saving (not to mention gas-saving) convenience and efficiency of viewing dozens of homes for sale all in one weekend and to learn more about what is available in the local housing market. Affordable pricing and low interest rates only serve to sweeten the pot and make this a golden opportunity for "first-time," "vacation home," "investment home," or "move-up" home buyers.

For home sellers, this event is also a winner. Offering planned, concentrated home buyer activity and sparking new interest and awareness for the real estate market in general, this event just may introduce your home to its new family. This weekend is an excellent opportunity for a home seller to scope out the competition and to see how their home compares – feature to feature – to other homes in their neighborhood or community. Viewing other homes for sale is always a great way to get staging and decorating ideas for your own home. Using these ideas and comparisons, your goal of selling your home could be hastened by tweaking your "selling" strategy in partnership with your real estate agent.
March 21-27, declared by Gov. Rick Scott and the Florida cabinet as “Welcome Home Week” in Florida, was signed into resolution on March 14. “Realtors throughout Florida are dedicated to helping improve the quality of life for all Floridians as they promote the benefits of home ownership,” Scott was quoted as saying.

The resolution also noted that one job is created for every two home sales, and that each individual home sale pumps $60,000 into the state’s economy. (Read the full article here)
This weekend event gives local real estate agents the opportunity to meet the public and to educate home buyers and home sellers on the current trends and statistics pertaining to the real estate market in general, and also with regards to a specific neighborhood or community.
Blue balloons, featuring the Realtor “R” in white, will serve to mark homes that are part of the statewide open house campaign locally and all across the state. You may also get a list of open houses from The Bradenton Herald and The Sarasota Herald-Tribune.
