Halloween Weekend: Where To Trick Or Treat, Get Spooky In Manatee County

Halloween season events in Manatee County include trick-or-treating, a circus performance, a pumpkin festival, Day of the Dead.

MANATEE COUNTY, FL β€” It’s the spookiest time of year and the Bradenton area has plenty of family-friendly Halloween events to offer. Check out where you can get your candy fix and other scary happenings this year.


30th annual Pumpkin Festival

When: Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Where: Hunsader Farms, 5500 C.R. 675, Bradenton

What: This annual event features pumpkins, a corn maze, pony rides, a craft show, live music and other shows, a pioneer trades village, a children’s train ride, a scarecrow display, games, a petting zoo, chainsaw sculpting and more.

Trunk or Treat

When: Friday, 6 to 8 p.m.

Where: Westside Christian Church, 3604 15th Ave. West, Bradenton

What: This free trick-or-treating event also features a balloon animal tent, crafts for kids, hot dogs and costumes.


Halloween Spooktacular Showcase
When: Friday and Saturday, 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, 5 p.m.

Where: Circus on the Ranch, 9855 Wauchula Road, Myakka City

What: This circus performance features students and professional circus artists, games, pony rides, a petting farm, face painting, trick-or-treating and a costume contest. Tickets are $12 for adults and one child enters for free per adult. Additional children are $5 each.


Halloweekend at Gamble Creek Farms

When: Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature, 201 10th Street West, Bradenton

What: Take your kids trick-or-treating through the life-like dinosaurs in the museum’s new DinoVenture experience. Cost is $5 per person.


1,000 Pieces of Candy

When: Sunday, 5 to 9 p.m.

Where: Alcover Massage, 1302 12th Ave. West, Bradenton

What: This family-friend trick-or-treating event features ALSO Youth, a nonprofit organization serving LGBTQ+ youth in Sarasota and Manatee counties. As part of the national Teal Pumpkin Project, there will be gluten-free and peanut-free candies, as well as candy-free alternatives.


18th annual Halloween Safe Kids Night

When: Sunday, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Where: Manatee County Fairgrounds, 1402 14th Ave. West, Palmetto

What: Hosted by CrimeStoppers of Manatee County, this trick-or-treating event is a safe space for families.


Festival of Skeletons

When: Nov. 5, 6 to 9:30 p.m., and Nov. 6, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: Village of the Arts, 1023 12th Street West, Bradenton

What: This annual Day of the Dead festival features paintings, sculptures, ceramic works, jewelry and accessories by local artists.
