Woman, 2 Children Found Dead At Lakewood Ranch Home: Manatee Sheriff

LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL — A woman and two children were found dead Thursday night at a Lakewood Ranch home, the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Deputies responded to the home in the 8200 block of Pavia Way around 8:30 p.m. for a welfare check at the request of the homeowner, who was out of town.

When they arrived, circumstances prompted them to enter the home. Once inside, they found the woman and two children dead, the sheriff’s office said.

Preliminary information indicates that all parties involved have been accounted for and there’s no threat to the community.

The investigation is active and ongoing. Detectives are working to process the scene and review evidence.

The Medical Examiner will determine the official causes and manner of death.
