Woman Medevaced From Cruise Ship Off Port Manatee: Watch
A woman was medevaced from a Celebrity cruise ship off Port Manatee Wednesday by the U.S. Coast Guard, reports said.
MANATEE COUNTY, FL — A woman was medevaced from a cruise ship off Port Manatee Wednesday night by a U.S. Coast Guard Station St. Petersburg boat crew, the U.S. Coast Guard Southeast wrote in a Facebook post. (Watch a slideshow of images of the crew assisting the woman below.)
The Celebrity Constellation cruise ship traveling through the area made the emergency stop for the injured woman, WWSB reported.
The 58-year-old reportedly suffered head trauma while on the ship.

Because she “required a higher level of care,” she was brought to Merry Pier where EMS first responders were waiting to bring her to an area hospital, the Coast Guard said.
