"Women Taking Control" Seminar Series Presents "Savvy Social Security Planning"

Wealth advisor Sandy Keir of Suncoast Advisory Group presents “Savvy Social Security Planning,” a financial seminar for women professionals and entrepreneurs.

Part of the “Women Taking Control” educational series, the seminar is scheduled for Thursday, October 23, in the private dining room of The Francis, 1289 N. Palm Avenue, Sarasota, Florida 34236. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. and the presentation starts at 6 p.m.

“While many women won’t have to rely on Social Security for a comfortable retirement, it can still provide them with thousands of dollars of guaranteed income for life,” said Keir. “Important Social Security decisions are irrevocable, but many women fail to maximize their benefits because they make uninformed decisions about how and when to start taking benefits. Planning now will give them more options down the road.”

This workshop will help participants understand:

• How to maximize lifetime benefits. By coordinating your benefits with your spouse, you could receive much more.
• How to coordinate Social Security benefits with income from 401(k)s, IRAs and other investments.
• What happens if you get divorced or your husband passes away? Find out whether you’re eligible for divorced spouse and survivor benefits.

Keir has more than 25 years of experience in the wealth management industry. She is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®), and is Certified in Long-Term Care (CLTC).
