Wrong-Way Driver Killed In I-75 Crash: FL Highway Patrol
A 32-year-old Wimauma man driving the wrong way on Interstate 75 was killed in an early Sunday morning crash in Manatee County, FHP said.
MANATEE COUNTY, FL β A 32-year-old Wimauma man driving the wrong way on Interstate 75 was killed in an early Sunday morning crash, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
He was heading north in the I-75 southbound lanes at the time of the crash, just before 2 a.m.
He collided with the front of a car, driven by a 23-year-old Bradenton woman, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

She was critically injured in the crash and flown to Tampa General Hospital, FHP said. Her passenger, a 42-year-old Bradenton man, suffered minor injuries.
A third car, driven by a 29-year-old St. Cloud man, crashed into the back of the car hit by the wrong-way driver. He was uninjured in the crash.
