Brandon Cyclist Killed In Hit-and-Run ID'd
The 45-year-old was struck near the I-4-U.S. 301 exit ramp by a Tampa suspect, who surrendered after his damaged car was found, FHP said.

BRANDON, FL – A Brandon man struck on his bicycle and killed near U.S. 301 and Interstate 4 by a hit-and-run driver was identified Wednesday evening by authorities as Aristeo Antonio Pascual, 45.
After the crash, which occurred Wednesday at 3:40 a.m., the suspected driver, Christopher Cole, 44 of Tampa, surrendered at Florida Highway Patrol headquarters and was arrested on suspicion of leaving the scene of a fatal accident.
Pascual was declared dead at the scene.

Cole's 2016 silver Mercedes C300 was located on the 2200 block of East 20th Avenue in Tampa, after a tip to the Tampa Police Department, and showed front-end damage, according to the FHP. Later in the day, Cole turned himself in to law enforcement.

The I-4 exit ramp was closed until 9:22 a.m. as investigators processed the scene. Troopers did not know if alcohol played a role in the incident.
