Tampa Bay Just Ran Out Of Lucky's; Stores To Close
Barely a year after celebrating the opening of Brandon's first Lucky's Supermarket, the company announced Tuesday that it will close.

BRANDON, FL — Barely a year after reporting the opening of Brandon's first Lucky's Supermarket, the company announced Tuesday that it will close all of its stores in Tampa Bay and all but one in Florida.
According to the Sun-Sentinel, only the company’s West Melbourne store will remain open. All other stores will close as of Feb. 12.
The Sun-Sentinel said employees were told Tuesday during meetings. The company has 2,500 employees in Florida.

Liquidation sales are expected to begin Wednesday.
Lucky's are located in St. Petersburg, Clearwater and Brandon.
