Brandon YMCA To Unveil Renovations March 14

SEFFNER, FL — The North Brandon Family YMCA will unveil renovations to its center at 3097 S. Kingsway Road in Seffner with a ribbon-cutting on Saturday, March 14 at 1 p.m.

Improvements to the aquatic center include a newly paved pool deck, resurfaced pool bottom and updated pool tiling, sound system and a new Aqualawn entertainment area and gathering space.

Members will also enjoy changes to the locker rooms including modern tile, a new layout, granite countertops, LED lighting and changing rooms.

“North Brandon Y’s renovations, which began in January, provide continued opportunities for community members to enhance their YMCA experience in 2020 - whether they’re taking water safety lessons, participating in aquatic classes, swimming laps or freshening up before or after their workouts,” said Executive Director Heather Solomon.

Additionally, the North Brandon Family YMCA recently upgraded its exercise equipment.

Serving residents in Brandon, Mango, Dover and Seffner, the North Brandon YMCA offers swim lessons, personal training, adult individual workouts and group cardio, strength, yoga and cycling classes with child care available.

Youth programs include gymnastics and swim teams, summer camp, Kindergym, preschool dance classes, Tiny Tumblers and Tumble Tykes, lifeguard training, basketball, martial arts, volleyball, soccer, golf, kids' days out, before- and after-school programs.

The YMCA also hosts potlucks and other activities for seniors, the Livestrong exercise program for cancer survivors and a diabetes prevention program.
