Gasparilla & the curse of Pirate Witch MaryEllen Elia

In one of the worst blizzards in years, New York is now suffering the full fury of the curse of Pirate Witch MaryEllen Elia and her ship “Deliberate Indifference”. Known locally as the “liar that was fired” MaryEllen Eliar was burned by firing just one year ago on January 21, 2015 and banished to New York (article link 1). She was feared by her shipmates for her brutal intimidation and bullying, so much so that grown adults were too scared to tell of the death of student Isabella Herrera who choked on a school bus on January 25, 2012 (article link 2). For 9 months the townsfolk did not know of Isabella’s death until another special needs student Jenny Caballero drowned at her school because Pirate Witch MaryEllen and her first mate Chair Candy Olson cruelly didn’t do anything after the first death (article link 3).

And if that weren’t horrific enough, Pirate Witch MaryEllen Elia then plundered the reserves of the school district and buried the money in pits of bureaucracy making the children suffer even more. Her decrepit ghost still haunts the corridors of the school building.

The curse of Pirate Witch MaryEllen Eliar follows her wherever she travels to punish any who have ever given her shelter and always manifests around the date of the students deaths and student Isabella choked on January 25, 2012. This is to make sure that no one ever forgets Pirate Witch MaryEllen Elia’s role in the deaths of students Isabella Herrera and Jenny Caballero and the plundering of their school system.
