Man Swiped 2 TVs from Hotel, Cops Say

Deputies are hoping someone recognizes the man in the video.

Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for some help identifying a man they say swiped two television sets from a hotel on Wednesday.

The crime happened around 11 a.m. when a black male in his mid-20s went into Room No. 404 at the Holiday Inn Express, 8610 Elm Fair Blvd., deputies say. The man entered through an unlocked door, helped himself to two 32-inch Phillips LCD television and walked down the stairs.

The man, who weighs about 180 pounds, then got into a silver, four-door sedan, possibly a Ford Taurus, and drove away with the televisions.

Anyone who has information about the man is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 813-247-8200. Tips can also be submitted through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477), reported anonymously online at www.crimestopperstb.com or texted “CSTB plus your tip” to C-R-I-M-E-S (274637).
