Plant City Girl Struck in Possible Drive-By Shooting
The 12-year-old is expected to recover.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a possible drive-by shooting that occurred early Thursday morning in Plant City.
Deputies say the incident unfolded at 807 Joe McIntosh Road around 3:29 a.m. when multiple gunshots were fired into the home. A family of four, including two children, lives in the home.
The 12-year-old, identified as McKenzie Creech, was asleep in her bedroom when the shots were fired, an email from the sheriff’s office stated. She was struck in both calves and suffered what deputies say are non-life-threatening wounds.

McKenzie, a student at Marshall Middle School, was air lifted to Tampa General Hospital.
Deputies say no other injuries were reported. Other family members in the home at the time were Michael Creech, 42, Angela Creech, 38, and Dylan Creech, 15.
