Robber Shot Himself, Flagged Down Deputy for Help, Sheriff's Office Says
While the Florida man did get medical treatment for the self-inflicted wound, he also received a free trip to jail.

A 24-year-old Orlando man faces a long list of criminal charges after Orange County Sheriff’s deputies say he robbed a person of a cellphone and then shot himself while running away.
The case against Lashawn Williams began to unfold just before 3 a.m. Sunday when he’s accused of robbing the person at 1213 18th St., according to the Orlando Sentinel. When his gun went off, deputies say he panicked and went to a nearby strip club, swiped a Mercedes and drove away.
Williams, however, didn’t make it too far.

That deputy obliged and made sure Williams received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries at Orlando Regional Medical Center, the Palm Beach Post reported. He was then transported to the Orange County Jail.
Williams was booked in on charges including grand theft auto, grand theft, robbery with a firearm and aggravated assault with a firearm. He was being held without bond as of Monday afternoon, according to jail records.
