Shenaniganz Fire Closes U.S. 41 in Apollo Beach

The blaze broke out early Wednesday morning.

Firefighters are investigating a blaze that broke out early Wednesday morning at Shenaniganz Bar and Grill in Apollo Beach.

Hillsborough County Fire Rescue received the call before 6 a.m. and when they arrived, they found smoke and flames coming out of the bar’s roof, spokeswoman Nacole Revette said in an email to media.

“Due to the magnitude of the fire and lack of structural integrity, the crews fought the fire from the outside in defensive mode,” she said.

Nearby homes were evacuated. Businesses adjacent to the 5813 U.S. Highway 41 bar did not suffer damage.

No injuries were reported in the fire, Revette said.
